About

A steady place to start.

I'm Catherine. I offer counselling, supervision and EMDR from Fence, Lancashire — in the evening, and online when that is easier.

How I work

The work is person-centred first. That means we start with you, not with a programme. Sessions are collaborative. We go at a pace that feels possible, and we notice together what is helpful.

Where it fits, I also draw on CBT and EMDR. Those are tools, not a script. You will not be asked to rush, perform, or know the right words before we begin.

I work with adults, children, young people, families, professionals and schools. Some people come for a short piece of work. Some stay longer. There is no block booking, and no obligation to continue if it does not feel right.

Professional practice

I am a BACP registered member and work within the BACP Ethical Framework. I receive clinical supervision myself. I hold an Enhanced DBS check.

You can look me up on the BACP register. If you would like my membership number, I will give it to you when we speak.

  • Evenings, Monday to Friday, 4pm–8pm

If you are looking for a particular kind of help, these pages set out the work more clearly: adult counselling, children and families, or professionals and schools.
