For your child or teenager
Support that fits the person in front of me.
Sessions for children, young people and families, shaped around age, confidence and how they like to communicate.
A gentle way in
Children and young people do not always want to talk in the way adults do. That is fine. Sessions can include conversation, play, drawing or simply sitting together until something useful finds its way out.
Parents and carers are part of the work, in a way that respects the child's privacy. I will be clear with you about confidentiality, and about the times when I would need to share information to keep someone safe.
Practical arrangements
Appointments are 4pm to 8pm, Monday to Friday, so your child does not have to miss school. Online sessions can work well for some older children and teenagers.
Counselling is £55 for 60 minutes. If you are not sure this is the right support, we can start with a free 15-minute call — often that first conversation is with a parent or carer.
I didn't really want to talk at first. Then I did, and it was okay.— Year 5 pupil
She didn't make me say things. It felt like I could take my time.— Year 6 pupil
As a parent I felt included, without the sessions becoming about me.— Parent
