For you

A place to talk, without being hurried.

Adult counselling with Catherine Lawson in Fence, Lancashire. Sessions last 60 minutes. We can start with a free 15-minute conversation.

What counselling can be

People come for many reasons: feeling stuck, anxious or low; a relationship that is hard to carry; something from the past that will not settle; or a sense that life has become too much to hold alone.

You do not need a neat story, a diagnosis, or the right language. We start with whatever you can say, and we find a pace that feels possible.

How sessions work

Counselling sessions are 60 minutes and cost £55. There is no block booking. Appointments are in the evening, 4pm to 8pm, Monday to Friday, so you do not have to take time off work. Online sessions are available.

The work is person-centred. CBT or EMDR can be part of it if that seems useful — we would talk about that together, not spring it on you.

A first step that stays small

If you are not sure counselling is right, that is a good reason to have the 15-minute call. It is a chance to hear how I work and to notice how it feels to talk to me. There is no charge and no commitment.
